Our Curriculum: Camp Romans 1:16 of Lexington, KY 2015

Personal Art Series

Series name: Fact vs. Truth When the Truth presents itself, even solid facts must surrender to it, and therefore are subject to change. The recurring bronze figure in each painting is a statue, made in the 1800's by Italian artist Umberto Boccioni. The name of the statue is 'Continuity In Space'. Boccioni created this statue during the Italian industrial era, making a point that as a fast paced society many technological advancements have been created, but as humans they've gone nowhere. This is why the figure appears to be in motion, but keep in mind, it's a statue. The first painting 'Fact vs Truth - The Inevitable Race' is the framework for the entire series. The statue here (and in the other 6 paintings) is to exemplify and replicate people as statues (specifically referencing myself as this statue), as well as the things we allow to statue our lives. Art Curriculum at T.B.H: Camp Flor y Canto of Houston, TX 2016

Camp Flor y Canto of Houston, TX took place in the summer of 2016 at Talento Billingue de Houston. Flor y Canto is an art camp, offering four disciplines of Theater, Music, Dance and Fine Art. We were asked to conduct the Fine Art class. Most Honorable Camper

This post goes out to our most honorable camper, Elian Alexander Alfaro! A little bit about Elian, well, so much could be said. Elian is unlike any other child of his generation. He is utterly unattached to the things of this world, is unbelievably mature, meek and is quite a child of God as he has already preached his first sermon (to a room full of adults by the way). Elian has such a mild character, temperate in many things, excluding cake and donuts. He has a such a serious demeanor at all times, so much so, you can just see that his mind is stayed on God. His love and comprehension for the word is strikingly uncanny for someone so young. At the tender age of 9, Elian suffered from neurological trauma that resulted in uncontrollable muscle spasms throughout his body and other symptoms. Though he never spent one day in camp, he was always a part of our classes that we conducted before camp and is the eldest brother of the baby and youngest child you've seen in the ot

Thank Yous!

This will probably be the most difficult part of this page, but here it goes! The first and most obvious thank you goes to Jesus! He spoke the word of instruction and gave us the Faith and Hope to follow through and we watched Him make it ALL possible. The idea(s), funding, trips, venue, the children that He clearly hand selected to be attend and so much more, my God, you did it all and saw us through at times when we didn't know what was to happen next.
